Every minted CC token is fully backed by one ton of carbon removed from the atmosphere and represented via carbon offsets. EcoCREDIT only purchases the highest quality voluntary carbon offsets to back every minted CC token. We partner with the highest quality third-party validators and utilize our proprietary network of incentivized validators to ensure maximum transparency and accountability.

There are a theoretically infinite number of carbon offsets that correlate with carbon removed from the environment. When humanity releases carbon into the atmosphere, sustainable projects can plant trees or undertake other sustainable activities to remove said carbon from the air. This ongoing process means that humanity will never actually run out of carbon offsets to tokenize. In fact, the more tokenized carbon offsets, the more funding for sustainable initiatives worldwide!

This means that the greater the number of CC tokens, the greater the amount of carbon removed from the atmosphere.
